The image on this post is a selection of the unread books I plan to tackle for the remainder of this year. I have a terrible habit of buying books faster than I can read them. Therefore, I intend to read the books on my shelf. The books are a mix of fantasy books and classic literature.
I am currently reading The Brothers Karamazov by Fyodor Dostoevsky, a classic Russian novel about the dysfunctional Karamazov family. I am finding it a very interesting reading and I plan to take my time over it so I can appreciate the content of the book. I have wanted to give Russian Literature a go for over a year and I have three books by Russian authors, Brothers Karamazov and Crime and Punishment, both by Dostoevsky and Father and Sons by Ivan Turgenev.
I also have recently bought the first three books in the Malloreon series by David Eddings. I have read the Belgariad by David Eddings, which I loved so I cannot wait to enjoy the follow on series. Many of my unread books are by authors I have not read, like Far From The Madding Crowd by Thomas Hardy.
At the beginning of this year I did make a reading resolution to try and read a greater range of books both old and new. I am confident that I am achieving this as my passion has always been to read and I do desire to read a greater variety of books because it is fun but also it enriches my mind.
I should be posting plenty of reviews in the upcoming months, so watch this space.
